Andrew is an experienced hotelier, who has spent years developing and managing hotels and restaurants worldwide.
After graduating from the University of Melbourne and working in the finance industry for several years, he turned his attention to hospitality.
In 2006 his first project was opening Brisbane’s famous Monaco Hotel, followed by Sydney’s most iconic venue, The Star Casino.

Upon moving to Sydney in 2010, he joined Star Entertainment Group as the General Manager of Hotel The Star and then as General Manager of Star City Casino.
Andrew was subsequently appointed President of Australian Operations for Las Vegas Sands Corporation.
In 2015 Andrew Lazarus returned to the hospitality industry and co-founded The Darling, a restaurant and bar in Potts Point, with his father, George Lazarus.
Andrew was appointed to the Board of Directors at the Darling Hotel, where he worked closely with his father on developing their flagship Sydney venue.
With a specific focus on short-term operations, Andrew has been promoting brand awareness and building relationships with key stakeholders.
He is also responsible for financing and developing new facilities and acting in an oversight capacity.
Recently Andrew Lazarus became involved in a business partnership with his father, George Lazarus, and commenced the purchase of the iconic Beach Hotel in Merewether.
The two have always had a strong interest in the hotel industry and now have a business capable of undertaking significant expansion throughout all Australian states.
The current plan is for over 200,000 sqm of development, including four new hospitality venues within the property. They also plan to enhance and develop key food and beverage offerings and accommodation areas.
Andrew is an experienced hotelier businessman and knows the value of hard work and determination, which is why he has been very successful in his life.
He is the perfect role model for any young generation and remains involved in several local charities and committees.
