Larry Baer is a renowned professional sports visionary, who joined the Giants team in  1992, as an Executive Vice President. This came after the SF Giants CEO and his partner Peter Magowan formed an ownership group that kept Giants in San Francisco. Larry Baer was appointed as the CEO of the team in January 2012, and it’s during the SF Giants CEO’s first year in charge which saw the Giants Win the World Series Championship for the second time after five years.

 

Larry is involved in the day-to-day running of the organization, and under his leadership, he oversaw the construction and development of Oracle Park. Oracle Park is the first major league ballpark to be privately financed. Since the grand opening of this ballpark in 2000, it has been championed as one of the most outstanding parks ever built.

 

The sports facility was even recognized as the sports facility of the year by Sports Business Journal, and the Giants team grabbed the sports Organization of the year in 2011. The SF Giants CEO has also acted as the Giant’s key negotiator and strategist in the club’s different major transactions. Some of the most notable include the 2019 oracle naming rights agreement and the 1992 Barry Bonds signing.

 

The SF Giants CEO serves as the CEO of Giant Development Services, an ongoing urban neighborhood sitting on a 28-acre land. Once this establishment is complete, it will feature over 1,500 residential units with eight acres of open space and parks. It is also expected to host over 1.3 million square foot office space, which will feature Visa Inc, World’s headquarter. A total of 250,000 square feet will be reserved for restaurants and public amenities.

 

The SF Giants CEO completed his higher education at Harvard Business School and UC Berkeley. He has in the past worked in different media houses, including CBS and Westinghouse Broadcasting. The Giants CEO has even received various prestigious awards in the past, with the most notable being the “Alumnus of the Year” by the Harvard Business School.
